Without GAT Guesswork
- “Was that an RPE 7 or a 9?”
- Rest times picked at random
- Adding weight on gut feeling
- Grinding junk reps into fatigue
- A notebook you never look back at
Velocity-based training for Android
GAT measures every rep — bar speed, velocity loss, effort and range of motion — then tells you exactly what to do next. Add weight. Rest. Or call it a day.
Why GAT
Most lifters log weight and reps, then guess the rest. Bar speed tells you how hard a set really was — and how much you have left.
How it works
Snap the GAT Sensor onto a barbell or a weight-stack pin. No sensor yet? Log sets by hand or use the built-in simulator.
Train like you always do. Velocity, range of motion and tempo appear live for every rep, with a cue after every set.
Review your summary, PRs and effort zones. Watch your estimated 1RM climb week after week.
Features
From the first warm-up set to the weekly trend line, GAT turns your training into numbers you can act on.
Per-rep velocity bars, velocity loss and effort zone update the moment the bar stops moving.
“Add 2.5 kg”, “Rest for 90 seconds”, “Keep this pace”, “Stop here today” — decided by your data, not your ego.
Start empty or from your library of templates. A rest timer runs between sets so you never lose track.
PRs, total volume and a Perceived Effort chart from Too easy to Overkill — so you know if the session hit the mark.
Weekly volume, comparisons with your last workout, and per-exercise estimated 1RM history.
No account, no cloud. Everything stays on your phone, and the app checks for updates for you.
GAT Coach
GAT Coach is an on-device assistant that reads your logs so you don't have to. It answers questions, spots plateaus before they cost you a month, and builds workouts you can save straight to your library.
Why has my bench stalled?
Your top set has been 80 kg × 5 for 3 weeks, while rep-1 speed fell from 0.52 to 0.47 m/s. That points to accumulated fatigue, not lost strength.
Try a lighter week at 72.5 kg, then retest.

FAQ
No. GAT works fully without it: log sets manually, use templates and the rest timer, and see all your stats. A built-in sensor simulator lets you try the live velocity features today. The GAT Sensor will add automatic rep-by-rep measurement when it launches.
Yes. The app is free, with no ads and no account required.
Your workouts are stored on your device only. There is no sign-up and no cloud sync. GAT Coach runs on-device too. The only network request the app makes is checking gat.ntl.ai.id for a newer version.
Android 8.0 (Oreo) and newer.
Not right now. GAT is Android-only for the moment.
The app checks for updates automatically and lets you know when a new version is available. You can also re-download the latest APK from this page at any time and install it over the existing app — your data is kept.
